CEO and Co-founder of Neon Roots

Ben Lee is the co-founder and CEO of Neon Roots, a digital development agency with a mission to destroy the development model and rebuild it from the ground up. After a brief correspondence with Fidel Castro at age nine, Ben decided to start doing things his own way, going from busboy to club manager at a world-class nightclub before he turned 18. Since then, Ben has founded or taken a leading role in 5 businesses in everything from software development to food and entertainment.

dreamforce 2013The 11th annual Dreamforce conference, the largest cloud computing event of the year, has once again kicked off.  This year Dreamforce will be featuring keynote speakers from HP to Careerbuilder to countless others, all sharing firsthand knowledge and product updates.  The event will also hold over 1,250 expert-led sessions on the latest technologies as well as the do’s and don’ts of connecting with customers.  It’s all taking place in downtown San Francisco where an enormous inflatable tent has been put up between Third and Fourth streets.

The four-day conference is expected to draw nearly 120,000 attendees, and Neon Roots has again partnered with Dreamforce to set up the event’s massive social media command center.  This dedicated area allows a team to monitor and engage in real-time social conversation.  Our Dreamforce SMCC is allowing onsite visitors as well as those that can’t attend the chance to stay up-to-date on all the event’s happenings and participate in new and exciting ways.

dreamforce 2013Social media conversations are a vital aspect of Dreamforce.  As their biggest events stream live here, you’ll be able to shape the conversation by using #salesforceLIVE to live tweet questions to the industry’s biggest names like Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, and Marissa Mayer, President & Director of Yahoo.com.

There are several ways you can get involved with the Dreamforce community through social media.  There’s an online guide where you can get a list of hashtags that will steer you to the most relevant conversations, and Dreamforce’s Facebook and Instagram will also be constantly updated with photos and breaking news.

This year there’s even an online command center where you can see a constantly updated page of total conversation volume, most mentioned terms and tags, even a region by region breakdown of social media conversations.  Getting involved with Dreamforce has never been easier.
