Ben Lee is the co-founder and CEO of Neon Roots, a digital development agency with a mission to destroy the development model and rebuild it from the ground up. After a brief correspondence with Fidel Castro at age nine, Ben decided to start doing things his own way, going from busboy to club manager at a world-class nightclub before he turned 18. Since then, Ben has founded or taken a leading role in 5 businesses in everything from software development to food and entertainment.

CES 2015 has returned to Las Vegas through the 9th, and Neon Roots is there.  We’ve partnered with Epson to showcase their state-of-the-art Moverio™ BT-200 Smart Glasses.  We have a booth set up inside Epson to demo the work we’ve done on an innovative new app and several exclusive AR games for the Moverio.

The Moverio is Epson’s latest and greatest innovation in the world of wearable technology.  According to Epson:

These binocular, transparent smart glasses open up a whole new world in entertainment, manufacturing, medical science and more. Unlike competitive models, each lens has its own display, right in your field of vision, projected into your surroundings. And, the BT-200 boasts 2x the virtual screen size, at a remarkably affordable price. These lightweight glasses work out-of-the-box with Bluetooth and other technology, plus most AndroidTM apps. With a front-facing camera and motion tracker, the BT-200 is a premier development platform for apps of the future and hands-free scenarios, delivering large, 2D or 3D images, front and center — virtually anywhere!

We’ve been hard at work developing an app for their LabelWorks line.  LabelWorks includes a vast variety of printer products and organization tools that will now be accessible through an immersive, augmented reality experience.  Of course the Moverio doesn’t just want to make life simpler; it wants to make it more fun, which is why we’ve also development interactive and eye-popping games for the breakout system.

And there’s no better place to showcase these new developments than at one of the world’s largest tech conferences.  The International Consumer Electronics Show has long been one of the most productive gathering places for those interested in and/or developing consumer technologies and CES 2015 will be no different.

Be sure to come see us at our booth #74728 and let us show you what the future holds for augmented reality and wearable tech!
