Our latest collaboration released last week and it’s receiving great reviews! We partnered with Concord Music Group to create Stylus, Spotify’s first Jazz discovery app. Whether you’re interested in exploring modern or classic Jazz music, Stylus will guide you from Duke Ellington to Tigran Hamasyan. Besides the clean and beautiful design of the app, one of our favorite features is its ability to learn your style and create suggestions to increase your playlists and expand your repertoire. It even posts recommendations from well known Jazz resources to share updates and new releases that will keep Jazz lovers inspired and excited.
If you’re new to the world of Jazz, Stylus is the perfect tool for exploring many genres and finding your own style. Just start with a playlist and shuffle through a variety of songs and albums. When you hear something you like, click the star button and the app will begin building your preferences. Based on your favorite songs and artists, you’ll be able to tune into your favorite genres by sliding the control button from “All Styles” to “My Styles”.
We loved collaborating with the creative team at Concord Music Group on this project. We’re happy to hear Jazz aficionados and music fans are enjoying Stylus. Check out the latest review from the online Jazz journal The Revisionist. The video below gives a great intro into the features of the app or you can just dive right in and download it from the Spotify App Store!
