CEO and Co-founder of Neon Roots

Ben Lee is the co-founder and CEO of Neon Roots, a digital development agency with a mission to destroy the development model and rebuild it from the ground up. After a brief correspondence with Fidel Castro at age nine, Ben decided to start doing things his own way, going from busboy to club manager at a world-class nightclub before he turned 18. Since then, Ben has founded or taken a leading role in 5 businesses in everything from software development to food and entertainment.

Oculus VR skyrocketed into the industry with a huge boost of popular support and excitement. Oculus VR looked to Kickstarter to get the funding to build the Oculus Rift.  For those non-gamers out there, Oculus Rift is a gaming headset that gives the user a sensory experience of participating in the game.  Their kickstarter campaign raised over $2.4 million!

Oculus’ mission to deliver interactive technology that is wearable and affordable has always been an impressive and admirable vision.  Their work is innovative and the team at Oculus knows what they are doing.  Their founder, Palmer Luckey, was a head-mounted display designer at USC and it’s rumored he also had the world’s largest collection of personal head-mounted displays.

Recently, Drew, the co-founder of Neon Roots, had the chance to try the Roller Coaster demo from Oculus Rift.  As promised, it rivaled the real-life experience of some of the most intense rides. Check out this great video we took of Drew going for a ride on the Oculus Rift Roller Coaster.
